Day two

Today we started at Kurpfalzpark. Arriving at 9 to find the alpine was due to open at 10, so a little waiting around was required. time went quickly fortunatley. We were the first riders of the day.

A duck and it ducklings paid us a visit whilst we where waiting.

2nd park we visited was Kid's Inn

Another indoor kids park, this one had 1 coaster. On arrival they told us the coaster is not open untill 11 but Christof with his german skills talked them into opening it. Just for is :) we did pay for this one (the other kids parks let us in for free) but it was only 70 cents each so can't complain.

3rd park of the day was Holiday Park

To go on their new coaster Sky Scream, very small queue which was suprising seeing as it new. The park operations should have a pat on its back for the coasters operation, sadly let down by it's admissions team who failed to understand the ECC discount.

New entrance area since my last visit

A nice touch, keeping at corkscrew

Image

4th park today was Technik Museum Speyer

A butterfly coaster in a pretty cool museum. need to go back to go on a wing of a 747

5th Park of day was Auto & Technik Museum

Another cool museum with a butterfly coaster. need to re visit this one soon.

6th Park of the day was Tripsdrill

To ride their new coaster that went to the park last year Karacho. Such a great coaster, lovely launch, great restraints and ejector airtime

We had so much fun we rode it for a 2nd time :) :)

Schwaben Park was originally planned to be next 3 of us already had been on, We where happy to go again but christof insisted that we go to Freizeit- und Sportzentrum Mehliskopf where we all need the alphine coaster so that was our 7th and final stop of the day

7 coasters in 7 parks, another great day ... stay tuned

Did you ride Expedition GeForce at Holiday Park?

Also what was the issue with the ECC discount?

We would have done but we where on a very tight schedule :( the parked seemed busy i'm sure there was a big line for it. Its strange that the queue for the new coaster was not that long.

long story - not entirely the parks fault. Basically the side of the voucher was missing which had some kind of code on it. Also they looked through their book of example vouchers and it seems they couldn't find the ECC one. I am sure we could have sorted it but didn't have time to mess around

I agree with Richard. I would have happily given-up visiting another park in favour of having a few rides on Expedition Geforce....I hope the butterfly was well worth it though....

for the two butterflies, the alpine and Karacho at Tripsdrill was all well worth it, I agree it was a shame to miss it

Love Karacho, so smooth, nice restraints loads of airtime.... I wish Alton would had got a clone of this instead of smiler.

I'm sure I'll be back to ride Geforce sometime soon

Karacho is a fantastic coaster. Still need to ride "Smiler" so can't compare them both.

It's great to see that like a good coaster that maintains it's pace till the end, your speed hasn't dropped either racing through all the parks in Germany ;-)

I wasn't allowed to wear strapped glasses on Karacho. That, coupled with several other operational disasters on my last visit, left me distinctly unimpressed with Tripsdrill.

Yep. Could't make a visit to Holiday without a ride on GeForce. When I rode Skyscream it was a 20 min wait. GeForce was 5 (1 or 2 trains) except the front...
