Hi everybody,
mid september we are planning a few days in southern Spain and want to visit the alpine coaster Trinea ruso on 12th september located in the Sierra Nevada.

But we are not sure, if the coaster is open. Has anybody ridden this alpine coaster or knows a little bit more about opening times?
Thanks in advance,
Thomas

Re: Alpine Coaster Sierra Nevada/Spain
hi, we were up there on 27th July to get away from the 39 degree hear on the coast, a pleasant 23 up there: we didn't know about the coaster; it's a toboggan ride like in oakwood (wales, uk). It was running that day, we saw it on the way up the mountain in the cable car and it was closed when we came down at 6pm on the last trip down. The trip on the cable car and then onto the chair lift, is worth the trip alone especially to see the snow at the top...we made little snow men! Suggest you go earlier in the day to have time to ride the coaster and go up the mountain. It's a good hour 'upwards' from Granada. They do get 3 to 4 metres of snow up there but September should be ok.
